Small Wave Surfboard, 5'6
One more surfboard that I made. This one was for me, it is the number 8!
I made it pretty quickly, drew the outline by eye directly on the foam blank, just to see what I could achieve this way, and because I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted.
The shape is inspired by the boards by Mandala. I quite like the fact that they are super small yet quite chunky, with a lot of volume.
The dimensions are 5'6 x 20" x 2"1/2, with a double concave bottom, on a PU foam blank and polyester resin.
Going with a thruster setup here might not have been the best choice. Considering the width of the tail, a quad fin setup would have been way better, or a 5 fins setup, but it is still fine. Made an old-school leash loop, in fiberglass and resin, and I really like the way it came out.
I wanted a board for small summer waves, so there it is!
